Yesterday morning, Xihu District’s Economic and Social Development Achievements in the Glorious 70 years and a New Round of Industrial Policy Revision Press Conference was held to publish the achievements of economic and social development of Xihu District in the glorious 70 years, introduce a new round of industrial policy revision and features and highlights. Gao Guofei, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and District Head, made a speech. District leaders Wu Xiangqian and Wang Jian attended.

Firstly, on behalf of the District Party Committee and Government, Gao Guofei expressed his sincere thanks to leaders at all levels and people from all walks of life who had been supporting the development of Xihu District. He pointed out that, under the wise leadership of the CPC Central Committee and the strong leadership of the provincial government and municipal government, the people of Xihu District had made great achievements through great hardship in the past 70 years matching this era and brought together the majestic momentum of entering a new era.

At the meeting, Gao Guofei focused on four aspects to introduce the achievements of economic and social development of Xihu District in the glorious 70 years. The first was the major achievements in economic construction. Over the past 70 years, especially since the reform and opening up, the whole district had always adhered to economic construction as the center and to the liberation and development of social productive forces and to the reform direction of socialist market economy, and had always promoted the sustained and healthy economic development, with increasingly higher development quality, stronger development vigor and better industrial economy. The second was the ever-changing urban and rural landscape. Over the past 70 years, especially since the 18th CPC National Congress, the whole district had made concerted efforts to vigorously implement the “beautiful Xihu District operation”, such as all-round rectification, all-round suppression of the bad, all-out dismantling of the illegal, giving beauty to the Xihu District. Today’s Xihu District has increasingly modern urban functions, finer urban management and more beautiful urban and rural environment. The third was people’s happy life. The District Party Committee and Government had always adhered to the people-centered development idea, and always had the central task of meeting the people’s needs for a better life, serving the people sincerely and benefiting the people wholeheartedly. Education, health, old-age care, social security and other social and people’s livelihood undertakings had become shining golden business cards of the Xihu District. The fourth was the thriving cultural undertaking. Over the past 70 years, the Xihu District had always adhered to the development of advanced socialist culture, strengthened the construction of socialism spiritual civilization, cultivated and practiced the core socialist values, inherited and carried forward Chinese excellent traditional culture and promoted the continuous development of Xihu culture. In recent years, all efforts have been made to promote the development of the construction of Zhijiang development nuclear in Zhijiang Cultural Industry Belt, and had successfully built three national, three provincial and four municipal cultural industrial parks. The “Five Strategies” of famous parks, enterprises, celebrities, masterpieces and associations had yielded fruitful results.
