From October 19 to 22, Dong Yumin (Vice Secretary of District Committee and District Mayor) lead a team to conduct investigation activities in Alar City and Aqsu City of Xinjiang. The district leader Chai Wenle and other department leaders were present.

On the afternoon of October 19, the team led by Dong Yumin investigated the Fruit Industry Base of the Sixth Regimen, observed the local human settlement, and knew about the local conditions, customs, and humanity history in detail. Later, the work conference on communication of Xihu District and the Sixth Regimen of the First Division was held. At the conference, Dong Yumin expressed his sincere thanks to Alar City for establishing a profound friendship with Xihu District. He introduced the general situations of Xihu District and major practices of economic & social development from two aspects. On the one hand, Xihu District has a good natural environment and long humanity history. With high-quality resources including the West Lake, Xixi and West Lake Longjing Tea, the district has a strong culture soft power. On the other hand, Xihu District has adopted “famous school, famous people and famous enterprise” as its name card of the new ear, positively expressed the advantage of integrating cloud creation, scientific creation and cultural creation, and presented more economic benefits. He emphasized that Alar City and Xihu District should deepen industry cooperation between the two places, continue to enhance the exchange between cadres and talents, and make the communication more frequent and cooperation closer through both parties’ joint effort.

On October 20 in Alar City, the team led by Dong Yumin visited Alar Industrial Park and Reclamation Memorial Hall of 359 Brigade for investigation. In the industrial park, the team led by Dong Yumin inspected Xinjiang enterprises supported by Zhejiang such as Xinjiang Xinyue Silk Road Co., Ltd., Xinjiang Nakai Textile Co., Ltd., and Xinjiang Xinjufeng Special Yarn Industry Co., Ltd. During the visit, Dong Yumin walked and saw, and deeply communicated with the enterprise leaders from time to time. He emphasized that the Xinjiang enterprises supported by Zhejiang should proceed with confidence, forge ahead with determination, blaze new trails in a pioneering spirit, promote joint development between two places, and create the economic gain of high-quality development. Later, the team led by Dong Yumin visited the Reclamation Memorial Hall of 359 Brigade. Under the guidance of the memorial hall commentator, they studied the model history and brilliant course of “359 Brigade” in different Chinese revolution periods. Dong Yumin pointed out that the struggling spirit of the martyrs made people shocked, and had a positive effect on stimulating the cadres’ work enthusiasm and sense of mission.

On the afternoon of October 21, the team led by Dong Yumin visited Duolang River Scenic Area. According to the information, Duolang River Scenic Area is the project supported by Zhejiang in Xinjiang. The whole scenic area stretches to seven kilometers. Containing “Hangzhou elements”, the scenic area is known as “Jiangnan beyond the Great Wall”.
