Yesterday afternoon, the Xihu District Economic Work Conference and the Promotion Meeting of “Thousands of Cadres Maintaining Close Ties with Enterprises, Thousands of Enterprises Appraising Departments” was held. Gao Guofei, secretary of the District CPC Committee, delivered a speech. Dong Yumin, deputy secretary of the District CPC Committee and head of district, presided over the meeting. Shi Yingli, director of the Standing Committee of the District People’s Congress, Ye Weiping, chairman of District CPPCC, and other leaders of the district CPC Committee, People’s Congress, government and CPPCC attended. Relevant members of the inspection group of the provincial Party committee attended the meeting on invitation. The conference was held in the form of video conference, with main venue located in the International Convention and Exhibition Center of Yunqi Town, and sub venues located in the District Sports Center, each towns and sub-districts.

At the meeting, videos of “the best cadres in maintaining close ties with enterprises” and “excellent cadres in maintaining close ties with enterprises” were played; the “the best cadres in maintaining close ties with enterprises” were commended; the work related to “Year of Business Environment Improvement, Year of Enterprise Service, Year of Promoting New Manufacturing Industry” and “Thousands of Cadres Maintaining Close Ties with Enterprises and Thousands of Enterprises Appraising Departments” was reported; some representatives of enterprises and paired cadres made exchange speeches; relevant economic departments and platforms reported their work and accepted the on-site voting and scoring by participating enterprises, and the results were presented in real time.

Gao Guofei made a presentation with four key words: “thanks”, “challenge”, “confidence” and “expectation”. First of all, he expressed his gratitude to the entrepreneurs who have been caring about and supporting the development of Xihu District for their trust and dedication, great love and responsibility, support and persistence. Gao Guofei pointed out that the entrepreneurs, who chose to start their businesses in Xihu District and have always adhered to their original intention and have carried forward the entrepreneurship of “self-confidence, tenacity, foresight and responsibility” on the land of Xihu District, have made great contributions to the high-quality economic and social development of Xihu District with their strong entrepreneurial enthusiasm and sense of responsibility.

Gao Guofei emphasized that 2020 is a year full of pressure and challenges. We are facing the most complicated and severe development situation in the past three decades. At present, the epidemic situation in China has been well controlled, the overall social situation remains stable, and the overall and long-term trend of the country remains positive. We should be full of confidence in the trend of China’s booming and the future prospects of the Xihu District. This confidence comes from the unchangeable trend of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and the unchangeable trend of the whole Xihu District in seeking common development.

Gao Guofei emphasized that the whole district should fully understand and earnestly implement President Xi’s earnest instructions to Xihu District, cherish and maintain the hard-won development situation, giving full play to Xihu District’s advantages as a “highland for strategic development in the province and city” , a “treasured land for industrial agglomeration and development” , a “key land with adequate resource protection” , a “great land with superior business environment” and a “blessed land suitable for entrepreneurship, residence and pension” , boost confidence, muster up enough energy, meet difficulties head-on, turn advantages into continuous development power, and open up a road of high-quality development with unique characteristics of Xihu District.

Gao Guofei stressed that it is necessary to center on serving enterprises and accelerating development in the current and future long-term work, focus on strengthening the planning, deployment and promotion of economic work and make every effort to realize the high quality development of Xihu economy. On one hand, it is expected that each entrepreneur will vigorously carry forward the spirit of entrepreneurship, seize the opportunity and take advantage of the situation. On the other hand, it is also expected that each unit and joint enterprise cadres of the whole district will take more active actions, get closer to enterprises and provide solid services. The whole district should make joint efforts, seize the important strategic opportunities, seek for development with the first class as the standard, firm the confidence,  face up to difficulties, inspire the spirit, work hard, unite the government and enterprises, collaborate to make progress, and strive to produce a new chapter of high-quality development of Xihu.
