On the morning of January 13, Xihu District held the Leading Group Meeting on Prevention and Control of COVID-19, to analyze the prevention and control situation of COVID-19 and to deploy the epidemic prevention and control work of winter and spring. Dong Yumin (Vice Secretary of District Committee and District Mayor) and related department leaders were present.

Dong Yumin pointed out that the epidemic prevention and control work of COVID-19 entered the critical stage, so all people of the district should fully understand the current situations, deeply realize the importance and complexity of epidemic prevention and control, soberly cognize the situations like slack mentality and increase of imported cases, take preventive measures through advance planning and deployment, prevent hidden dangers, and tamp the prevention and control measures.

Dong Yumin emphasized that we should focus on five aspects next. First, we should strengthen the responsibility. We must stick to the work style of “making advance plans and taking rapid actions” and “performing a duty to defend the land and bearing responsibility for land loss”. We need to implement responsibilities strictly level by level, and guarantee that the epidemic prevention and control work is advanced smoothly. Second, we should guide through publicity. We must persist in leadership, strengthen personal precautions, intensify the consciousness of epidemic prevention and control in the district, and accurately implement various epidemic prevention measures. Third, we should pay attention to key points. We must focus on the “point”, “line” and “plane”. In terms of the point, epidemic prevention and control should be carried out in places like Party and government organs, schools, hospitals, nursing homes and quarantine points, to strengthen service assurance, standardize operation patterns, and provide adequate security for prevention and control of key sites. In the aspect of line, we must strengthen the control of cold chain transportation, intensify source management, take full advantage of big data means to intensify investigation, and guarantee the traceability of logistics transportation. As for the plane, we should implement epidemic prevention measures in rural areas, strengthen effective control for weak links, and ensure the life safety and good health of the masses. Fourth, we should reserve materials. We must conduct comprehensive considering and evaluation according to the actual demands, develop material reserves as early as possible, and guarantee that residents’ basic living needs can be met during the epidemic prevention period. Fifth, we should play “the piano” well. When conducting epidemic prevention and control, we should also conduct environment renovation, needy household condolence, safety production and high-quality economic development, and create the “new chapter” of Xihu development in 2021.
