To implement the requirements of the municipal committee and municipal government for the venue construction for Asian Games of “Decisive Battle 2021”, Xihu District held the Mobilization Meeting for Asian Games of “Decisive Battle 2021”on the afternoon of April 16. The leaders listened to the report about key work and construction work, and raised requirements for the follow-up work. Chen Weiqiang (Deputy Secretary General of Asian Games Organizing Committee and Deputy Mayor of Hangzhou City) was present and made a speech. Gao Guofei (Secretary of District Committee) made a speech. Dong Yumin (Vice Secretary of District Committee and District Mayor) presided over the meeting. District leaders including Ye Weiping (Director of NPC Standing Committee of Xihu District), Ye Ze (Chairman of District CPPCC) and Jiang Yongzhu (Vice Secretary of District Committee) were present.

First, Chen Weiqiang affirmed the progress and achievements gained by Xihu District in the construction of various venues for Asian Games at the previous stage. He emphasized that we should focus on four aspects in the future. First, we should prepare well for the Asian Games. We must focus on politics and consider the overall situation; bear responsibilities positively, improve the software and hardware, and fully display the characteristics of “Asian Games of sports”, “Asian Games of city” and “Asian Games of brand”; improve the infrastructures, humanistic quality and social atmosphere of Hangzhou through smoothly holding the Asian Games. We should advance the work orderly according to the time nodes, make overall plans for labor division between departments, and provide sufficient job security for the construction; accelerate the construction of venues, make scientific plans with professional viewpoints, and provide a perfect technical support for the construction; mobilize all people to participate in the competition, chase leaks, and make full preparations for the construction. Third, we should practically increase the publicity breadth and depth of Asian Games. We should fully utilize the existing resources, and carry out influential publicity for Asian Games enjoying popular support; establish a thick atmosphere for Asian Games in the whole society, and mobilize all people to participate and exercise; create elements integrating into Xihu, and better arouse residents’ sense of cultural identity; intensify digital energization, and provide a digital and convenient publicity platform. Fourth, we should make concerted effort to hold the Asian Games. We must extensively mobilize and gather all forces, take eight city actions, and help Hangzhou hold the Asian Games smoothly.

Gao Guofei expressed that we should focus on three aspects. First, we should increase the stance, deepen the understanding, and practically enhance the sense of responsibility and sense of mission to carry out Asian Games of “Decisive Battle 2021”. We must realize that the action of solving difficulties for Asian Games of “Decisive Battle 2021” was the intrinsic requirement to implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important indications, the urgent need to carry out the decisions and deployments of the municipal committee and to display the sense of mission in Xihu, and the important measure to create a district of socialist modern international metropolis. We should increase the political stance, and advance the high-quality preparation for various tasks with a strong sense of responsibility and sense of mission. Second, we should focus on the key points and determine to fight and win; create a trend of solving difficulties for Asian Games. We must carry forward the continuous fighting spirit, make the focal points stand out, and accelerate the project construction; grasp the opportunities, and increase the regional quality; create a thick atmosphere and display the style of Xihu; manifest the city enchantment via digital energization. Third, we should exert the utmost effort and make an overall plan; spare no pains to solve difficulties for Asian Games. We must establish a clear objective, focus on the progress, improve the system, assign responsibilities, keep up the bottom line, strengthen organizational leadership, perfect the system, intensify overall coordination, and form a powerful force; advance the preparation of “two Asian Games” at high level; contribute the maximal force to the success of Asian Games.
